Ordinary Miracles

Image
Every single day, we wake, touch the ground with our feet, use our eyes, minds and body.   Typically, taking for granted the ordinary miracles that have been given to us.   Take a moment today, when you may be feeling grief, despair or frustration to recognize each: single  moment  you  can.. breath, see, taste, feel and hear. Life is one of the greatest gifts you receive every single day.   Now take another moment and love embrace smile share with another.   Be their ordinary miracle.

Do we have much?

I have been fortunate to been blessed with 2 children, albeit they are both grown up, what I see in them is beyond any thing I could have imagined.   That being said, it was no easy task.. to be the one in their lives that would try and set an example.   Life and some choices we make, are not always easy but if they are right, then you know you are heading in the correct direction.   A few years back, my younger son told me something that tossed me off for a wee bit.   While out with our pup in the neighbourhood where we lived at the time, our discussion focused about what to confess and when.  He asks me to recall that he takes an extra sandwich to school.  I respond saying "yes, but is it because you play sports after and need the fuel?"   His response floored me.  "Mum, there is a boy in class who his mother doesn't prepare lunches nor does she stock his home with much food, I take an extra sandwich so he can eat too." I was floored.  He had been

Newtons 3 laws

It can be said that when the world fails around us, we may fail as well.   This isn't always the case, let me explain. Because, it is a choice.  Almost every reaction we have to an action is a choice.  It is, quite simply one of the laws of motion.   1. Every object will remain at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line unless compelled to change its state by the action of an external force.   2. The acceleration of an object is dependant on two variables, the net force acting upon the object and and the mass of the object. 3. To every action there is always an opposed and equal reaction. We must, recognize when things are getting tough and learn to take a step back. This will only help the direction change, in which I refer to the first law of motion.  Life isn't intended to be straight, it is intended to change and to develop.   When we start feel we are losing control, the force of how fast or hard this goes, is entirely based on the external influences.
